Stick in a Box

Eric Roseman

I'm now on my second month of Stick in a Box delivery service that drops a stack of craft jerky brands in my lap each month.  While seemingly related to the Andy Sandberg and Justin Timberlake spoof on SNL called "Dick in a box," the surprise of Stick in a box is actually a lot "meatier." My first months delivery was subpar to say the least and it gave me some pretty straightforward teriyaki and plain bags from Jacks Links and a few honey-ham sticks that are more reminiscent of slim jims than anything else.

My second delivery, which came in just moments ago feature some pretty rad offerings, including two selections from People's Choice Beef Jerky (Take a peek at their website- fantastic branding effort).  The box is a big hit around the office environment. Turns out people really go nuts for the savory snack as much as when someone drops in with Baked by Melissa's.

This is my last box unfortunately as I decided to cut back on some of my unnecessary monthly expenses. While I do love beef jerky, spending $35 a month for cholesterol ridden dried beef is not the best use of my discretionary capital. If you do have the spare funds though and you love jerky, give it a shot. It's a great idea and well run service! STICK IN A BOX .
